CC De Bernardus Made

For the theatre auditorium in Social Cultural Centre De Bernardus in Made in 2023, we received the order from Breda Bouw for the engineering, production and installation of the telescopic grandstand. 

Together with BOEi, Breda Bouw is working on the sustainable redevelopment of the Bernardus Church in Made. The church will house various socio-cultural and social functions, giving it a new future.

Telescopic grandstand

The extension of De Bernardus houses the theatre auditorium with telescopic grandstand. The telescopic grandstand was designed entirely to fit the auditorium and is opened and closed with the state-of-the-art push-chain system.   

Rigid chain drive

The grandstand has a push chain drive system. The chain system operates completely independently of the floor, ensuring perfect opening and closing. It also ensures unrivalled stability of the stand. 

Theatre seats and finishing

The grandstand is equipped with 154 comfortable theatre seats that are manually lowered in sets of five. The theatre seat, type Millennium, is finished in warm velour upholstery in three colour tones. The automatically-folding armrests in beech wood are natural varnished. 

The first row of seats has three mobile sections and these can be removed separately to make room for wheelchair users. 

The visible and invisible metal structure is powder-coated in RAL-9005 black. The stand is finished with high-quality needle felt carpet and the two aisles are fitted with photo luminescent step signage to alert the audience to dismounts as they walk to their seats.
